MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
      Title: Bean Soup
      Yield: 1 Servings
      2    Strips bacon
      1    Onion; sliced
      1 c  Navy beans
           Water to cover
           Salt and pepper to taste
           Cream or evaporated milk
  Chop up bacon and fry in a heavy pot. Add onion
  and cook until light brown. Add beans and
  carefully pour in water. Simmer gently until beans
  are soft, about 2 hours. Rub through a colander,
  or leave whole if you prefer. Season well; add a
  few spoonfuls of cream to each bowl and serve with
  toast squares. Some prefer corn bread.
