Title: Beef Cabbage Stew

1 1/2 lb Beef stew meat; cut into 1"

2 Beef bouillon cubes
1 c Hot water
1 lg Onion; chopped
1/4 ts Pepper
1 Bay leaf
2 md Potatoes; peeled & cubed
2 Ribs celery; sliced
4 c Shredded cabbage
1 Carrot; sliced
8 oz Tomato sauce
Salt to taste
Brown meat; drain. Dissolve bouillon in water; add
to beef. Stir in onion, pepper and bay leaf.
Simmer, covered, until tender, about 1 1/4 hours.
Add potatoes, celery, cabbage and carrot. Simmer,
covered, until vegetables are tender, about 30
minutes. Stir in tomato sauce; cook, uncovered, 15
minutes. Remove bay leaf before serving.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
