2 lb Stew beef; cut in 1" cubes
6 lg Potatoes; peeled and cut in
.. 1" cubes
8 .. to 10 carrots; sliced
1/2 c Water
1 pt Tomato sauce
1 pk Onion soup mix*
*Separate recipe.
Preheat oven to 250°.
Layer half the meat, potatoes and carrots in a
Dutch oven. Repeat. Add water and tomato sauce;
sprinkle with onion soup mix. Do not stir. Cover;
bake 5 hours.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
