Title: Cream of Tomato Soup

1 qt Tomatoes
1/2 ts Baking soda
1/4 c Butter
1/3 c Flour
1 qt Milk
Salt & pepper
Simmer tomatoes in a covered saucepan for about 15
minutes. Press through a strainer and add baking
soda. In saucepan, melt butter, stir in flour and
cook until thick. Slowly add milk. Remove from
stove and slowly add the hot tomatoes, stirring
constantly. Season and serve at once.
