MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
      Title: Creamed Cabbage Soup
      Yield: 6 Servings
      2 c  Chicken broth
      1 md Onion; diced
      1 c  Diced celery
      1 md Head cabbage; shredded
      1    Carrot; diced
    1/4 c  Butter
      3 tb Flour
      1 c  Milk
      2 c  Light cream
      2 c  Cooked ham; diced
  1 1/2 ts Salt
    1/4 ts Pepper
    1/2 ts Thyme
           Chopped parsley
  Simmer vegetables in broth, covered, until tender,
  about 20 minutes.
  Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in flour until
  smooth. Add milk and cream; cook, stirring, until
  thickened. Add to vegetables along with ham, salt,
  pepper and thyme; heat through. Garnish with
