Title: Oysters on the Half Shell

24 Oysters
Lettuce or crushed ice
2 Lemons; cut into wedges
Hot pepper sauce
Wash oysters well. Prepare beds of lettuce or
crushed ice on serving plates. Open oysters just
before serving. Discard top shell; loosen oyster
from bottom of shells by cutting ligaments but
leave oyster on shell. Serve oyster immediately,
garnished with lemon wedges. Serve hot sauce
separately.
