Title: Vegetable Soup

3 Onions; chopped
3 Turnips; diced
2 Carrots; sliced
4 Potatoes halved
2 tb Butter
1 ts Powdered sugar
2 qt Stock
Put vegetables into a stew pot with butter and
sugar; fry gently about 10 minutes. Don't let it
burn. Then add the stock. Let it come to a boil
and simmer gently until the vegetables are nice
and tender, about 1/2 hour or so. You might want
to add some noodles or rice to the soup. Good with
corn bread.
